Everything on this page in one free guide: what homes are selling for right now, HOA dues and Mello-Roos, schools, and the things we only know from selling here. It opens right away and we’ll email you a copy to keep.
Jordona’s Picks · A Local’s Guide
The list we actually give people. Some of these you would drive straight past without a local telling you; some are names you already know and are simply the right call. Either way, this is where a family who has worked Temecula for years eats.
Also ours: The Press Espresso · Corbeaux Wine and Tea House
Where Temecula actually goes out: the sports bars with the game on, the patios that stay busy after dark, and the room with a band in it. Not a long list, because it is not a long list.
Not the attractions list, just the places people here actually go on a weekend. If you are working out what there is to do in Temecula beyond the obvious, start with these.
Also ours: Akash Winery & Vineyard
Temecula has more good golf inside twenty minutes than anywhere else in the valley: the course a community is named for, and the one down in the De Luz canyon with a grill attached.

Latest from the City of Temecula
All Temecula news ↗Temeku Hills is built around The Legends Golf Club on Temecula's north side, in ZIP 92591, with its own clubhouse and pool and a city park on La Serena Way. Homes went up through the 1990s and 2000s. In the year to August 2026, most of the 42 sales here closed between $650,000 and $800,000, and half were single-story.
The golf course runs right through Temeku Hills, so plenty of homes back onto a fairway or look across to one of its five lakes. The Legends Golf Club opened in 1995 as a Ted Robinson design, under the name Temeku Hills Golf and Country Club, and it has a grass driving range and a grill room.
Off the course, the association has a clubhouse with a ballroom, a community pool and pickleball courts. Temeku Hills Park is the city park on La Serena Way, with a ball field, a basketball court, a playground, barbecues and restrooms.
Temeku Hills is in Temecula Valley Unified. Rancho Elementary is on La Serena Way, about five minutes from the middle of the community. Margarita Middle is on Margarita Road and Temecula Valley High is on Rancho Vista Road, and each of those is about five minutes away too.
Assignments go by address, so send me the one you're looking at and I'll confirm the schools before you write an offer.
Temeku Hills is one of the closer communities to the west side of town. Old Town Temecula is about ten minutes away, Promenade Temecula is about the same, and the 15 is roughly four miles, around ten minutes to the on-ramp.
Ronald Reagan Sports Park is about five minutes south. The wineries on Rancho California Road are about ten minutes east, starting with South Coast Winery, and Temecula Valley Hospital is about ten minutes as well.
Temeku Hills is built around a golf course in ZIP 92591, on Temecula's north side. Construction split almost exactly between the 1990s and the 2000s, twenty-one of the forty-two sales in the year to August 2026 from each decade, and the community reads as one place. You don't notice two phases stitched together.
The whole community is organized around the golf course, and that changes what you're buying. A lot on the course is a different property from an interior one. It has a different view and a different price, and it comes with its own questions, which are in the checklist further down.
Mid-sized and evenly balanced. Most homes are between 1,600 and 3,000 square feet, and the share of single-story homes was unusually high for Temecula in the year to August 2026: around half of sales, against roughly one in five in the newer master plans. If you want everything on one level, Temeku Hills is one of the better places in the city to look.
Thirty-one of the forty-two Temeku Hills sales in the year to August 2026 closed between $650,000 and $800,000. In August 2026, twenty-one homes were listed against forty-two sales a year, so inventory ran deeper here than in most places.
If the lot backs onto the course, ask about stray golf balls and where the Temeku Hills association stands on damage. It sounds small. It touches your windows, your insurance and how much you can use the backyard.
Ask what the Temeku Hills dues cover and whether golf membership is separate. Sometimes the two are bundled and sometimes they aren't, and guessing wrong moves your monthly number by a real amount.
Price out the roof and the HVAC. Temeku Hills was built on either side of 2000, so both are at the age where the conversation is about replacement, and a service call won't settle it.

Your payment
An estimate for planning only, not a loan offer, quote or financial advice. Your actual payment depends on your lender, credit and final terms.
An estimate, not a quote. The rate and tax rate are defaults you can change, and homes in newer parts of the valley often carry a Mello-Roos special tax on top. Put it in the HOA field if you know it, and ask us if you do not.
Homeowners Association
Too few homes are currently on the market in Temeku Hills reporting association dues to publish a reliable range. Ask us and we will pull the current figure for a specific address.
Temeku Hills has master association dues. Since the community is built around a golf course, ask specifically whether any golf privileges are included or sold separately. That one answer moves your real monthly cost more than most line items on a disclosure. Ask for the association's governing documents, the current dues, any pending special assessment, and the reserve study. In California the seller is required to provide these under Civil Code §4525, and the time to read them is your investigation period rather than after it.

Confirm the boundary. Attendance areas are set by the district, do not follow community lines, and are redrawn as schools open, so check the assigned schools for the specific address rather than the neighborhood. Ask Temecula Valley Unified or Riverside County Office of Education.
