Our commitment

The Hertz Group is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology. Finding a home should not depend on how you browse.

The standard we work to

We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That is the standard most commonly referenced for commercial websites in the United States.

We have not yet completed a formal third-party conformance audit, so we do not claim full conformance. We would rather tell you exactly where we are than overstate it.

What we have done

• Visible keyboard focus on every interactive control, and no keyboard traps.
• Text alternatives on meaningful images; decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them rather than announcing noise.
• Headings in a logical order so a page can be navigated by structure.
• Form fields with associated labels, and errors announced rather than shown only by color.
• Motion and auto-advancing content respect the “reduce motion” setting on your device, and nothing auto-advances without a way to control it.
• Color is never the only way information is conveyed.

Known limitations

Property information, photography and mapping on this site are supplied by the California Regional Multiple Listing Service and by mapping providers. We control how that content is presented but not how it is written or captioned at source, for example, a listing description or a photograph caption entered by another brokerage. Where third-party content creates a barrier, contact us and we will provide the information another way.
